Hello, and welcome to a home page devoted to my dog, Tiddler. I say 'my' dog, but that may be stretching the truth a little since he lives with my parents, and I haven't lived with them for nearly four years. I'm sure they'll forgive me.
The question and answer bit
What sort of dog is Tiddler?
He's a Blue Merle collie, which is a rather like a border collie, only different, as you can probably tell.
Where did you get him from?
A local farmer had been to market in Wales, and had come back with two dogs (as you do). Somehow my father was persuaded to take one of them. One dog was Tiddler, and the other was his brother, Sam, who now lives on the aforementioned farmer's farm, doing useful things like rounding up cows.
What does Tiddler do most of the time?
Not a lot, unlike his brother. Mind you, he does make a convincingly fearsome racket whenever anyone comes near the front door. He also drinks milk, which I've always thought was a cat's job.
So why's he called Tiddler, then?
As a puppy, Tiddler was a painfully timid beast, with what can only be described as limited bladder control. When I first saw him I thought picking him up the would be a suitable display of affection, and the rest is history...
Do dogs resemble their owners, or vice versa?
